As a woman of colour, you've never before had more hair-care products and styling options at your disposal. Whether you like to wear your hair straight, natural, braided, weaved, with extensions, in cornrows or in twists (or some combination of these), your hair texture and cultural inheritance make it possible to experiment with a great variety of styles.

However, due to the natural curl pattern of our hair, moisture and oils do not flow easily along the hair shaft. As a result, the scalp becomes dry and the hair turns brittle. On top of this, over-exposure to harmful and damaging grooming processes can take their toll, leaving us with hair loss and hair breakage.

For this reason, we have compiled a number of tips to help you establish a hair grooming regime that will keep your hair in tip-top condition. These tips are for your guidance only and we recommend that you seek the specific advice of a qualified stylist for your own individual needs.
